Zika virus is transmitted to humans through mosquito bites. According to the CDC, this virus will continue to spread over time, however it will be difficult to determine how it will spread as time goes on.

The CDC also states that people will most commonly experience somewhat mild symptoms, including things like fever, rash, joint pain and conjunctivitis. It is rare that the disease requires hospitalization.

For more information on this disease and how it may effect you and your and family, including pregnant women, we encourage you to visit the CDC for the most up to date and factual information.

Mosquito Control Plans

Since it is transmitted via mosquitos, Zika virus is hard to eliminate altogether. Aside from Zika, it is common knowledge that mosquitos can carry other, sometimes serious diseases. Taking steps like treating your lawn and wearing bug sprays can help prevent mosquito population in your outdoor areas.
