The Canopy Hope Garden is a raised bed made of red cedar, and measuring 4 feet by 8 feet, and 16 inches in depth. Our landscape professionals will prepare the installation area by achieving a level grade, then building the frame for your garden. We will then fill it with 40 cubic feet of custom blended soil, specially designed for growing vegetables. With this size of raised garden you will be able to produce up to 25 pounds of vegetables per growing season.
Victory gardens, also called war gardens or food gardens for defense, were vegetable, fruit, and herb gardens planted at private residences and public parks in the United States during World War I and World War II. In the war time governments encouraged people to plant victory gardens not only to supplement their rations but also to boost morale.
Now that we, as a country, are faced with a crisis that challenges many of our firmly held convictions we believe that everyone could benefit from the peace of mind and happiness that come with having your own garden. That’s why we are pleased to be offering the Canopy Hope Garden. It’s our pledge to a better future, one that holds a vaccine for the Coronavirus and a return to normalcy for our country and its citizens.
With the uncertainty we are all facing in the coming weeks and months we are happy to offer some measure of self sustainability to our customers and help contribute to your sense of well being and hope. We trust that you will enjoy watching your garden grow and tend to it while homebound for the foreseeable future, and enjoy the benefits on your dinner table in the near future.
