Here at Canopy it all begins with our foundational turf care program, HealthyLawn™, our year-round core service. HealthyLawn™ is our weed prevention, grass growing program. On top of that we offer a number of speciality services, from fungal defense and seeding and aeration to tree and shrub care.
What is HealthyLawn?
HealthyLawn™ is our signature, innovative turf building and weed preventative program that works year-round to give you a beautiful, healthy lawn. The program consists of seven applications throughout the year. Click the arrows below to view each lawn treatment.
Round One: Prepare
In this application we will apply both a foliar preemergent and postemergent herbicides to control existing weeds and keep new ones from developing. We will also apply a complete foliar fertilizer and a carbon-based food source to feed the soil flora. Combined, this is the first step to prepare your lawn for the coming growing season.
Round TWo: Prevent
In this application we will apply a low analysis, controlled release, complete granular fertilizer that contains preemergent, as well as meals to feed the turfgrass plant and soil flora. A postemergent herbicide will be applied as needed (spot treatment), to control existing weeds.
Round three: restore
In this application we will apply the last of the preemergent to help prevent summer annual grassy weeds. We will also continue feeding the soil with another complete foliar fertilizer and carbon based food source to feed the soil flora. A postemergent herbicide will be applied as well.
Round FOUR: REGULATE
In this application we will continue feeding the soil. We apply a complete foliar fertilizer and carbon-based food source to feed the soil flora. A postemergent herbicide will be applied as needed (spot treatment), to control existing weeds.
Round FIVE: REBUILD
In this application we will continue feeding the soil. We apply a complete foliar fertilizer and Carbon based food source to feed the soil flora. A postemergent herbicide will be applied as needed (spot treatment), to control existing weeds.
Round SIX: REVIVE
In this application we will apply a foliar fertilizer, along with essential amino acids (Humic & Fulvic). This application also helps oxygenate the turfgrass plant’s root system. A postemergent herbicide will be applied as needed (spot treatment), to control existing weeds.
Round SEVEN: revive
In this application we will apply a low analysis, controlled release, complete granular fertilizer that also contains meals and carbon food sources for the plant and soil flora. No postemergent herbicides are used in this application because it can interfere with the aeration and seeding process.

Which locations do you service?
We currently service the greater Triangle and Charlotte Metro areas. If you complete our web form you will receive a message if you are not in our service areas.
Will I always have the same lawn professional?
We try to keep the same Canopy Pro on your property as much as we can. Sometimes scheduling issues or new team members joining the company can make that difficult, but we maintain detailed records on your property to ensure continuity of service.
How does your pricing work?
For our signature plan, HealthyLawn™, we base our pricing on the amount of square footage of turf on your property. We then take the price of seven custom applications on your lawn for the year and divide it by 12 to get your monthly rate. Our pricing starts at $29 per month, and our average monthly price is around $49 per month.
Can I get other services without HealthyLawn™?
Unfortunately no, we do not offer one-off services like top dressing and aeration and seeding unless you are a regular HealthyLawn™ customer. On the plus side, once you are in our system we make it very easy to request and receive additional services.
Do you include a soil analysis in your program?
We offer an add-on soil analysis option per your request or our recommendation. The cost for a complete soil analysis and report is $149.
What exactly makes your program safer?
Our HealthyLawn™ program focuses on the health of your soil. We do this by adding probiotics and soil amendments to the soil. This improves the soil’s ability to support and sustain healthy plant growth, which in turn means we can use less fertilizer and herbicides the longer we maintain your property. It also means that you can reduce the amount of irrigation your lawn needs over time.
How long does it take to see results?
The biggest factor here is the current state of your lawn. Our program takes time to get results based on this. The second biggest factor is the conditions under which your lawn is attempting to grow. This includes the amount of sunlight, how the property drains, and your desired turf type. We can give you a much better idea of when to expect the lawn your are imagining once we have met with you and walked your property. Typically a transition takes 2-3 seasons (years) under our care.
